An antique Persian Lavar oriental rug in runner size, size 19'0 x 3'9, circa 1870.  This lovely hand-knotted carpet features a dazzling floral design in the ivory central field, alternating between small scale and large scale floral elements.  The short wool pile is even throughout, and the rug is in very good condition for its age and weaving style.  This is a runner fragment, and as such, does not have an outer border.  It has a very fine weave and tremendous articulation of design, is a great value, and an excellent choice for a long hallway!
