Vintage Northwest Persian Oriental Rug, in Square Size, with Diamond Design

A vintage N.W. Persian oriental rug, size 6'8 x 6'8, circa 1940. This delightful hand-knotted wool carpet is characterized by a diamond design in the red central field, which is demarcated by stylized floral elements within each diamond. The field is enclosed within a blue outer border with a scrolling motif of alternating leaves and flower heads. In excellent condition, with sturdy yet supple wool pile throughout.
