Antique Indo-Kashan Oriental Carpet, with Medallion and Soft Colors

An antique Indo-Kashan oriental carpet, size 22'4 H x 16'0 W, circa 1920. This massive hand-knotted wool carpet features a fine 'Tufjanchian' style weave, and is characterized by a blue central medallion with corresponding corner spandrels, but with a soft, peach colored primary field which is embellished with numerous small floral elements. The central field is enclosed within a handsome blue border with a repeating series of floral designs. The carpet is in excellent condition, with short to medium length supple wool pile throughout. The rug has been washed, and the colors softened. A good choice for a large home, a party hall, or a corporate space. A sure-fire way to add color, warmth, sophistication, and style to your interior decor!
