Antique Flemish Verdure Landscape Tapestry Panel, w/ Large Tree & Foliate Border

An antique Flemish verdure landscape tapestry panel from the 18th century, envisioning an idyllic setting with a stately tree and an exotic bird in the midst of verdant foliage. A tranquil scene in the tradition of the verdure tapestry, coming from the French word for greenery. The central scene is enclosed with a handsome scrolling foliate border. Wool with silk inlay. Size is 7'0H x 4'6W. Excellent condition. A wonderful addition to any room or stairway and a surefire way to add depth, color and charm to your home decor!

Hanging: The tapestry comes ready for hanging, with linen backing and a strip of hook and loop tape at the top end, which can be connected to the opposite side of the supplied hook and loop tape, which could be tacked to your wall. For those who prefer the use of a tapestry rod, we can add the appropriate size loops to accommodate your needs.
