An antique Northwest Persian decorative oriental carpet, in runner size, size 8'7" x 3'9".  This hand-knotted antique decorative carpet emanates from Northwestern Persia, in 1920.  The rug is characterized by a Paisley design allover the coral central field, which is at once both symmetrical and whimsical; precise and airy.  The central field is encased within a rose outer border, which adds dimension and definitude to the whimsy of the central space.  In very good condition for its age, weaving style, and composition.  100% wool pile on a cotton foundation.  A one of a kind antique carpet, with a highly sought after and delightful aesthetic.
