Description: | Antique 17th Century Flemish Historical Tapestry w/ the Roman General Coriolanus An antique 17th century Flemish historical tapestry, size 7' H x 11' W, depicting the Roman general Coriolanus, enthroned at left, with his domineering mother Volumnia and his wife Virgilia pleading with him not to be fooled by the false promises of the rebellious Volsci. Possibly woven by the renowned weaver, Francois Grellet. Enclosed within narrow monochromatic borders. Wool with silk inlay. Very good condition. A wonderful find, and an amazing enhancement to one's interior decor!
