Consigned Antique European Decorative Needlepoint Carpet

A consigned antique European decorative Needlepoint carpet, size 6'9" x 4'6", circa 1890. This handwoven carpet features a series of six square compartments on a black background, with each square being accentuated with floral corners and center flowers. A unique combination of symmetry, geometry, and floral curvilinearity, this rare flat-woven piece is a wonderful piece to add oomph and pizazz to your home decor! Suitable for use either as a wall hanging or as a floor covering. Composed of wool, but flat-woven, with no upward pile. Excellent condition.
